Every Thursday evening, the overhead lights go down, the spotlights come on, and the studio fills with the kind of quiet energy that only happens when people are working with their hands. You sit next to strangers — some new to Qatar, some who've lived here their whole lives — and by the end of the night you've usually made something, and usually met someone you want to see again.
