Glaze Firing Service

You've bisqued it, glazed it, and now it needs heat. That's where we come in.

Glaze firing is the final firing — the one where glaze melts into a glassy surface and the piece becomes what it was always going to be. We run our kilns to cone 6 (mid-fire). Bring us your glazed, bisqued pieces and we'll fire them through to finish.

How it works

• Priced by the shelf. Each shelf fits up to 20 cups, max height 14 cm. Pieces over 14 cm count as two shelves.
• Drop-off: Bring your bisqued, glazed pieces to the studio. Make sure glaze is dry and the foot is clean — any glaze on the bottom will stick to the kiln shelf.
• Turnaround: Fired on the studio's regular kiln schedule. We'll message you when ready.
• Pickup: Bring a box.

Important notes

• The studio is not responsible for damage to pieces during firing. Some pieces crack, some glaze runs — it happens.
• You're liable for any damage to the kiln from incompatible glazes or excessive glaze runoff.
• Need clear glaze applied? We can do it for you — extra fee based on piece dimensions. Ask at the counter or message us.
• Clay body must be cone 6 / mid-fire rated.
