Body 0468 is Goerg & Schneider's go-to sculptural clay for medium-sized work where you want a smooth, controlled surface. Despite its high chamotte content (40%), a carefully selected clay blend gives this body exceptional dry-bending strength — meaning your built pieces hold their shape without cracking as they dry. The fine chamotte grain (0–0.5 mm) keeps the surface smooth while still providing the structural stability you need for complex forms.

Best For
Hand building, modelling, medium to large sculptural pieces. Excellent dry-bending strength prevents cracking during construction. Smooth surface takes well to carving, stamping, and surface decoration. Use 0480 if you want a coarser, more rustic surface.
